Save the Date: Call for Expert Nominations: Scoping of Nexus and Transformative Change Assessments

The IPBES Plenary, at IPBES 7 held in Paris from 29 April to 4 May 2019, adopted the rolling work programme of IPBES up to 2030. Under objective 1 of the rolling work programme, assessing knowledge, the Plenary approved scoping processes:

1. For a thematic assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health.
2. For a thematic assessment of the underlying causes of biodiversity loss and the determinants of transformative change and options for achieving the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity.

The Multidisciplinary Expert Panel (MEP) is expected to request Governments and invite other relevant stakeholders to nominate relevant experts to assist with the scoping of these assessments in the beginning of August 2019.
