Citing IPBES Global Assessment, the Government of Kenya announced its participation in the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People for an ambitious global biodiversity framework under the Convention on Biological Diversity. In a statement during the launch, key findings from the IPBES Global Assessment were cited as reason to make 2021 “an urgent year for action on biodiversity and the climate”.
