Sierra Leone Joins IPBES as 133rd Member State
20 November 2019
Dear Friend of IPBES,
It gives me great pleasure to announce that, on the basis of a request by the Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone, the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone has formally joined IPBES as our 133rd member.
Mr. Alfred Tejanjondie (Manager, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Protection Agency) has been officially designated as the National Focal Point for IPBES of Sierra Leone, and his contact details will be reflected soon on the IPBES website.
I know you will join me in warmly welcoming Sierra Leone to the growing IPBES family – strengthening science and policy, for people and nature.
Warm regards,
Dr Anne Larigauderie, IPBES Executive Secretary
