#IPBES11 Stakeholder Day, 9 December 2024

The Stakeholder Day prior to the eleventh session of the Plenary of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (#IPBES11) will take place on 9 December 2024 in Windhoek, Namibia.

 

Registered in-person participants can pick up their badge at the desk located at the lobby of Kuiseb/Safari Court at Mercure Hotel Windhoek on Sunday, 8 December 2024 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. or on Monday 9 December 2024 from 8 a.m.

 

Call for posters at IPBES 11 Plenary!

Stakeholders are invited to highlight IPBES-related initiatives during #IPBES11, via posters displayed at the Mercure Hotel, Windhoek, Namibia during the entire duration of both Stakeholder Day (09 December) and the Plenary session (10-16 December). 

The posters should showcase exclusively examples of successful uptake and impact of IPBES outputs: illustrations of how stakeholders have used IPBES assessments or other outputs and the impact achieved.

Conditions and requirements:

  • Posters should not be smaller than A3 in size (29.7 x 42.0 cm) and not larger than A1 (59.4 x 84.1 cm), exclusively in ‘portrait’ format/layout.

  • A maximum of two posters per individual/organizations will be accepted.

  • All posters will require the pre-approval of the IPBES secretariat and only approved posters will be displayed. All interested participants must send an electronic copy of the intended poster to [email protected] before 20 November 2024. Response on approval will be provided by email.

  • Please include in the submission the author’s name and country/institutional affiliation. The submission email must also include an indication of which IPBES output is highlighted in the poster.

  • IPBES will not be responsible for printing of the posters, authors must please bring their printed poster to the venue.
