ECA_4.7.1_472

There is strong evidence that climate change affects the biodiversity of Europe and Central Asia through shifts in the timing of species’ life-history events, growth, reproduction and population dynamics, and in their ranges and habitat occupancy. The evidence for impacts on the ecological processes underlying range shifts, such as species interactions, is rapidly accumulating. Knowledge gaps remain with respect to changes in physiological processes and evolutionary adaptations to new climatic conditions.
