Her loon explosion, titled ”In The Red”, showcasing the quintessentially Canadian loon, is meant to echo the idea of “annihilation”. The title is a nod to the International Union for Concerned Scientists’ "Red List" of Threatened Species, while the loon is hemmed in by concrete, which is an allusion to the rampant habitat destruction that’s fueling the current biological annihilation. Her art is a call to action: "So look into that loon’s eyes, harness the uneasiness, sadness, loss, guilt, rage, or whatever else you might feel, and channel it. I’ll be right there with you, fighting for our existence".
