The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in collaboration with the Department of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity, General Department of Environment (MOET) organized a workshop "IPBES Global Assessment: Case study in Vietnam". Key findings and solution proposals of IPBES Global Assessment report were highlighted in the workshop.
According to Dr. Hoang Thi Thanh Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity, General Department of Environment, the IPBES report "is an important strength report, providing a comprehensive picture of biodiversity trends and ecosystem services across the globe over the past 50 years and is a evidence to assess the progress of the Aichi Biodiversity Goals, the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on climate change, and the basis for the development of the Global Biodiversity Framework after 2020 will be adopted at the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Public.
