English (396)
In an article in “China Watch,” Li Ganjie, the Chinese Minister of Environment and Ecology cited the IPBES Global Assessment as evidence that “biodiversity conservation still faces great challenges.” The Minister then highlighted China’s continued commitment to protecting biodiversity, including its efforts to make the CBD COP 15 a success, as well as to integrate biodiversity conservation into policies related to agriculture, forestry, fishery and finance, and to improve international cooperation on biodiversity conservation.
