During the meeting, a mix of project and local stakeholders operationalized the IPBES Nature Futures Framework to come up with solutions for the river network, as well as discussed the socio-economic values related to the river, according to workshop participants.

The AKWA (Aquatic Knowledge Centre Wageningen) is part of the Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW). The Drying River Networks and Climate Change project is funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation Programme.
