300 Mon, 04/04/2022 Anonymous IPBES Publications Inform Handbook on the Use of Biodiversity Scenarios in Support of Decision-Making English (396) BiodivERsA and the Belmont Forum, in the framework of their joint action on scenarios of biodiversity and ecosystem services, have produced a handbook on the use of biodiversity scenarios in support of decision-making. This handbook is intended for any individual interested in learning about biodiversity scenarios, and in particular participatory scenario design and the use of biodiversity scenarios in decision-making. It builds on a variety of sources (literature, expert and non-expert consultations, interviews) to provide a general understanding of scenarios of biodiversity, concrete examples of their use and a directory of relevant resources to go further on the topic. Several publications of IPBES have been instrumental in this endeavor, in particular the IPBES Methodological Assessment on Scenarios and Models and its summary for policy-makers. Furthermore, valuable feedback wasgiven by members of the IPBES Task-Force on Scenarios and Models (among other academic and non-academic respondents) through an online consultation organized in the Spring of 2020.
