The IPBES Global Assessment is cited in a European Parliament study titled “Biodiversity as a Human Right and its Implications for the EU’s External Action”. The study explains that the findings of the Global Assessment related to human rights concerns have “already led the EU Council to underline that ‘biodiversity and healthy ecosystems and their services support the full enjoyment of human rights’.
