Cameroon create three road maps for national and local implementation of IPBES Assessment

{Empty}
At a regional workshop in Côte d’Ivoire in April 2018, representatives from three GIZ projects in Cameroon (ProPFE; BSB and PRADEC) as well as delegates from the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) crafted three time-bound road maps sketching how they will use the IPBES Africa Assessment results at national and local level. Activities within the plans include awareness building workshops; evaluating ecosystem services of the Dzeng communal forest; conducting a national biodiversity and ecosystem services assessment; capacity building for young researchers; valuing the ecosystem services of the Lagdo dam catchment basin; engaging more with IPBES; and building awareness of IPBES research results with key policy makers.
