DRC crafts road map to use IPBES assessment results at national and local level

{Empty}
At a regional workshop in Côte d’Ivoire in April 2018, representatives from the DRC Government, academia and the GIZ project Maintien de la Biodiversité et Gestion durable des Forêts (BGF) crafted a time-bound road map sketching how they will use the IPBES Africa Assessment results at national and local level. Activities within the plan include training trainers on the ecosystem services approach; national and local training; academic seminars; an international research conference; developing a database on researchers in ecosystem services; establishing an 'exchange forum'; including ecosystem services in the 6th NBSAP report and starting an IPBES-like national assessment.
