Links between biodiversity, water and gender and impacts of monocultures

We would like to underscore the importance of addressing the links between biodiversity and water, especially in light of the often devastating impacts of monocultures, including monocultures of exotic trees like Eucalyptus, on water resources. It is important the assessment addresses the impact of such monocultures.

We would also like to highlight the importance of integrating a profound gender assessment as the biodiversity - water interface has a very strong gender dimension.
