Invitation to participate: Questionnaire on the use and impact of the IPBES conceptual framework
The Plenary, at its 7th session in Paris in May 2019, adopted the 2030 rolling work programme of IPBES, comprising six objectives. Objective 6, improving the effectiveness of IPBES, includes objective 6(b) review of the IPBES conceptual framework, which aims to ensure that the use and impact of the IPBES conceptual framework are reviewed to inform the evolution of the rolling work programme. The Plenary requested the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel (MEP) and the Bureau to review the IPBES conceptual framework in line with objective 6 (b) of the work programme.
In response to this decision, the MEP and Bureau have developed a questionnaire to collect information on the use and impact of the IPBES conceptual framework. The questionnaire, addressed to Governments and non-governmental stakeholders is aimed at understanding whether the conceptual framework fulfilled the key roles envisaged by the IPBES Plenary, when it adopted the framework in decision IPBES-2/4.
