Purwodadi Botanic Garden-Indonesian Institute of Sciences
I have more than ten years research experiences in the field of conservation biology and restoration ecology in Indonesia. I have been trained as a forester and a spatial ecologist. I developed multidisciplinary approach to systematically prioritize areas for restoration in Borneo by combining ecological and economic models. I expand my work by incorporating social perspectives into restoration prioritization analysis, employing social-ecological systems framework. My research and opinion have been published in scientific journals as well as featured in popular media (Kompas, Media Indonesia, Jakarta Post). I am a Young Fellow for IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) for the Thematic Assessment on Land Degradation and Restoration.
