I have with different national governments, bi-laterals, multi-laterals, donors, foundations, research institutes, INGOs, NGOs, Media, and CBOs.
Education: I have completed my undergraduate degree in Zoology, Biodiversity, Conservation, and Ecosystem from Presidency College securing the highest marks in Calcutta University (was awarded a gold medal). I have completed my post-graduate degree, i.e., MBA in Environment and Development Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal (one of the best management school in environment and sustainability in India). I have also completed excellent international pieces of training in biodiversity, conservation management, and climate change adaptation from International Rice Research Institute, International Water Management Institute, International Centre for Community Forestry and RECOFTC.

Program Implementation and Oversight and Support: I have worked as a Project Manager for large scale programs in, sustainable livelihoods, social entrepreneurship & accelerator, renewable energy, climate change mitigation, and social development resilience themes. I am well versed in all aspects of project/program management which includes preparation of high-quality work-plan(s), budget(s), review report(s) (progress, interim, final, etc.) and monitoring plans (regular site visits/collecting field data/ snowball investigations). In the past I have developed successful project tracking methods and approaches like critical indicator tracking, mapping through proxy indicators and strategic (bespoke) milestones in consultation with project donors and key stakeholders. I am highly
proficient in developing different, adaptable and impact-oriented monitoring approaches, concepts and frameworks. I have developed different types of summative and formative project evaluation approached for my previous projects (large & medium scale in nature). In my professional career, I have developed a reliable network of global independent consultants (diverse group). I have utilized their expertise for project research services, evaluation studies and strategic advisory in a professional contractual arrangement. I always strive for gathering relevant project information to generate key findings and lessons against best practices/yardsticks. I have prepared and rolled out Community, Resources, Institutional and Process (CRISP) and Clear, Relevant,
Economic, Monitoring (CREAM) frameworks w.r.t to M&E. I am comfortable with large-scale impact evaluation design studies like rigorous integrated generalized (quantitative and qualitative) assessments. In my last organization, I worked with my team to develop a contextual and bespoke result based monitoring evaluation systems for renewable energy projects having an active community- based perspective. I am aware of the critical actors relevant for incentives and disincentives in sustaining M&E systems within a project.
Solid Understanding of Socio-Economic and Geographic Actors of Asia and East Africa: I will be a natural fit for MacArthur Foundation’s international program team because of my work experience and knowledge of Asia and Africa geography. I also have an excellent understanding of policy, institutional and governance arrangements in the context of social, cultural and economic actors for countries like India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Philippines, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, South Africa and Nepal where I have worked on biodiversity and climate change projects. In my professional life, I've successfully managed to secure and maintained a reliable network of government officials, researchers, consultants, media professionals, NGO professionals and academic professionals working in climate change space in these countries.
