Final government review: Sustainable use assessment

On this webpage, participants duly registered for the ninth session of the IPBES Plenary (IPBES 9) can access the summary for policymakers (IPBES/9/6) and the chapters (IPBES/9/INF/1) of the thematic assessment of the sustainable use of wild species (sustainable use assessment).

IPBES national focal points are invited to download the review template below, and to submit comments on behalf of their Governments to [email protected] by no later than 15 June 2022. The comments will be shared with the experts of the assessment in preparation for IPBES 9. The IPBES Chair may make a revised version of the summary for policymakers available as Chair’s note shortly before IPBES 9.

Please note that the content of the summary for policymakers and of the chapters is confidential until approved/accepted by the Plenary at IPBES 9. Therefore, the text cannot be cited, quoted or distributed. We thank you in advance for adhering to those restrictions.

Please note that registration for IPBES 9 requires the completion of the registration form by each participant AND submission of a nomination letter by the Government / accredited observer organization which the participant will represent.
