Impact Tracking Database

Welcome to the IPBES Impact Tracking Database (TRACK) submission portal.

The purpose of TRACK is to record, document and share examples of the use of IPBES outputs, such as the IPBES assessment reports, in decision-making or in science.

These aims will be achieved through:

  • Compiling and maintaining indicative evidence of IPBES impact;
  • Sharing this evidence with the wider IPBES community via a publicly searchable database hosted on the IPBES website; and
  • Facilitating the use of the database to support both IPBES communications/outreach and the creation and expansion of IPBES communities of practice.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute to TRACK – the greater the number of examples we collect, the easier it will be to showcase the impact of IPBES’s work on policy and decisions that impact and are affected by nature.

Users must be registered and logged in on the IPBES website to view the form and submit an entry. If you do not have an IPBES account, click here to register

Please note: Submissions must please be made in English, the working language of the IPBES secretariat, even if the example being presented is in another language. TRACK is not designed to be comprehensive, analytically rigorous or serve a wider monitoring function – it makes no claim to be an exhaustive list of IPBES impacts. It is, instead, an indicative list for the primary purpose of IPBES communications, outreach and public relations. Apart from a basic eligibility screening, the IPBES secretariat will not independently verify the examples listed in TRACK, which are primarily gleaned from third party stakeholders, media reports and similar sources. Should you wish to alert the secretariat to any inaccuracy or anything objectionable in TRACK, please do so by emailing this information. Click to email us
