REMINDER: Invitation to observer organizations to the ninth session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Plenary (#IPBES9) / deadline to apply for accreditation: 31 March 2022



Dear representatives of observer organizations and other stakeholder organizations,



I would like to remind you of the invitation to participate in the ninth session of the Plenary of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES 9), which is planned to be held from 3 to 9 July 2022 in Bonn, Germany. A Stakeholder Day will be organized on 2 July 2022.

For information on how to register for the session of the Plenary and Stakeholder Day, please see notification EM/2021/42. If you would like to attend IPBES 9, please complete the steps outlined for registration and nomination as soon as possible.



Please note that participation in IPBES 9 is only open to delegates that are officially nominated by their Governments or by organizations that have been accredited as observers.



A list of organizations that have already been accredited to previous sessions of the Plenary is available at https://ipbes.net/accredited-organisations. Any organization that to date has not been accredited, and is seeking accreditation, is requested to submit its application through the form available at https://ipbes.net/ipbes-9/accreditation by 6 p.m. Central European Summer Time on 31 March 2022.



I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that nomination letters, setting out all members of a delegation, need be uploaded at https://ipbes.net/ipbes-9/nomination-letters-and-credentials as soon as possible, and no later than 20 May 2022, and that all members of a delegation are requested to complete online registration at https://ipbes.net/ipbes-9/registration.
