Media Registration Protocol
Media representatives who wish to attend the press conference and/or the opening session in person and/or get access to embargo materials must complete the online media accreditation form. Please ensure that you have scanned copies of your credentials ready when you start filling in the form as the system will not allow you to proceed without uploading these. Credentials should be uploaded in a single file (PDF).
If the IPBES media team approves your registration application, you will receive an email with your personal log-in details. Please note that due to the high number of requests, this might take a few days.
If you select “Embargo” on the registration form and your application is accepted, you will receive draft highlights from the Summary for Policymakers for the thematic assessment of Pollinators, Pollination and Food Production under embargo on 25, February, the day before the approval of the summary for policymakers is announced on 26 February.
Registered media will receive an email alert when the embargo is lifted. The exact time that the embargoed material will be made available will depend on the time the Plenary adopts the assessment report.
Please note that the contents of all embargoed materials will be subject to change and must be checked against the final versions.
Attention: By selecting Embargo, you are agreeing not to in any way publish or air any of the findings from the Summary for Policymakers or any other accompanying documents marked “Embargoed” prior to being notified that the embargo has been lifted. Failure to adhere to the conditions will result in that journalist or media outlet being excluded from future embargo arrangements
Members of the media are required to have a valid press card, or a valid media accreditation badge for the United Nations in New York, Geneva, Vienna or Nairobi. If you do not have a press card, please submit 3 recent samples of your work in a relevant area.
The deadline for registration for the press conference is 25 February 2016.
