| Brief description of contribution | The objective of this report is to demonstrate that it is viable to practice agriculture (in the broad sense of the term, encompassing livestock and forestry) in a sustainable manner in Brazil, pointing out paths and solutions, also considering future scenarios. The Thematic Report will be based on current scientific literature, government reports, reports of companies and non-governmental organizations of recognized competence in the area and on the knowledge of the indigenous and traditional peoples and communities. |
| Other organizations involved in the contribution | The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul BPBES started in 2021 a Voluntary Young Researcher Program (JVP). In this particular Assessment there are 14 Post-Doc (2 per chapter and 2 with the Chairs of the Assessment). This 2 working with the chairs are also part of the IAI STeP Program (https://www.iai.int/en/step) |
