| Abstract | The project will develop in national system of protected areas. This system has 64 protected areas. The project will enhance develop capacity to assess ecosystems services in protected areas. It will build ecosystem assessment methodologies in protected areas to support the prioritization and selection of ecosystem services assessment with high significance in the national system. |
| Project Description | The national system of protected areas assesses the ecosystem status of protected areas with the methodology " Effects of Economic Human Activities in Protected Areas". However, it is necessary to link with ecosystem services assessments. It will improve our capacities to develop capacity to carry out assessments,develop capacity among policymakers and practitioners for the use of assessment findings in policy development and decision-making, develop and use non-market-based methods of valuing biodiversity and ecosystem and develop capacity to value and assess management options and effectiveness services. |
| Project Objectives and expected Achievables | Develops capacity on ecosystem services assessments in proteted areas. Develops capacity among policymakers and practitioners for the role of ecosystem services and influence in economic income. Develops and use non-market-based methods of valuing biodiversity and ecosystem. Develops capacity to value and assess management options and effectiveness services. They will be measured through methodologies that will be built for each objective. |
