Registration is closed!
Deadline extended to 30 September 2021
Objective 6 (b) of the rolling work programme up to 2030, review of the IPBES conceptual framework, is aimed at ensuring that the use and impact of the IPBES conceptual framework are reviewed to inform the evolution of the rolling work programme. The Plenary, in its decision IPBES 7/1, requested the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel and the Bureau to review the IPBES conceptual framework in line with that objective.
In response to the request, the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel and Bureau have begun a study on the use and impact of the conceptual framework, including two online surveys conducted between 6 April and 29 May 2020, one targeting experts in ongoing and completed IPBES assessments and one targeting national focal points and stakeholders, as well as a literature review. The final study will be presented to the Plenary at IPBES 9 in 2022.
An external review of the draft of the study on the use and impact of the IPBES conceptual framework is held from 10 June to 30 September 2021.
This external review is addressed to Governments and interested and qualified experts, including scientists, decision makers, practitioners and other knowledge holders.
