We want to support increase of recognition of IPBES and create a sound ba-sis for well-informed participation in IPBES processes. Project partners are governments and relevant ministries as well as representatives of sci-ence and civil society. National and regional workshops will help to provide capacity building materials in English and Russian, train trainers and prepare for IPBES plenary meetings. After the workshops the project partners are well prepared to take an active part in IPBES processes in an informed and competent manner and to make use of IPBES assess-ment findings in environmental decision making in their respective countries. The project strengthens administrations' and civil society organisations' capacities and fosters international cooperation for the con-servation of biodiversity. Learning material (e.g., video, presentation, booklet, article and website), assessment Policy instruments, policy support tools and methodologies In 2021, the BBPf explored the need for a Belgian IPBES-like assessment, and proposed a governance structure adapted to the Belgian context as well as the resources needed to implement this. The exercise built on the new political context and highlighted the added value compared to past and ongoing initiatives. For now, the BBPF does not have sufficient capacity to pull of the initiative, but we do hope that putting this on the agenda of policy/research institutions has increased the attention to the importance of transdisciplinary IPBES-like national assessment, to complement existing report and reinforce science-based policy support in the context of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework and the Belgian commitments therein. We also hope to re-initiate the work once the resources/capacity allow for this, and we remain highly supported to related initiatives. México Exploratory study for the design of a strategy for knowledge management that increases community adaptation and resilience capacities to Climate Change in the eastern region of the State of Mexico, Mexico. Support to communities of practice engaging in IPBES Indigenous and local knowledge systems, Scenarios and models From a methodological approach that integrates elements of education for comprehensive water management and for adaptation to Climate Change, with a design approach for transitions and adaptive management of socio-ecological systems. An exploratory study will be carried out through interviews with key actors (academics, members of civil society organizations, federal government officials, municipal government officials, teachers, agricultural producers and inhabitants) and surveys of middle school students (high schools and high schools) for:

1) Carry out a general survey of the current situation at the level of water security (access to drinking water in adequate quantity and quality to cover their consumption, sanitation, hygiene and health needs).
2) Carry out a general survey regarding the state of the ecosystems and their capacity to continue providing hydrological ecosystem services, on which both people and biodiversity depend.
3) Know if the organizational, management, infrastructure and knowledge resources available to the population allow it to be resilient or adapt to extreme hydrometeorological phenomena derived from Climate Change, such as drought.
4) Know the visions of the future of adults and young people regarding the ideal of community development.

The results of the research will make it possible to assess current opportunities, gaps and challenges. What will allow the design of a relevant and culturally appropriate knowledge management strategy, and that facilitates the creation of capacities to increase community resilience and adaptation to Climate Change.

There is the general move, especially in Africa to increase the amount of inorganic fertilizer applications to boost crop production. Juxtaposing the shallow soil depth and rate of increase of fertilizer applications, especially the nitrogen-based fertilizers, it is imperative to speak about the consequence of contamination of surface and ground water by runoff and leaching of these inorganic fertilizers. The devastations of nitrogen polluted water bodies are evident all over the world. It is therefore important to discuss the measures to subvert this devastation. An organization/Project or governance infrastructure scoring more than 80% or working to achieve this target can be considered sustainable and other matter of financing instruments and green technologies development are automatically inculcated in it. Therefore,, I suggest to all stakeholder of IPBES to incorporate this tool in all matters of capacity-building processes to achieve the goals of SDG 14 and also make it part of the political declaration of UNOC 2022 to further its implementation through UNCLOS and ISA. It is a great concept to adopt and I hope most of the nations would support it because its implementation gives a win win situation for every one and nothing to loose with respect to Climate Change and environmental impacts.
I am ready to contribute knowledge in this matter, if stakeholders are interested to further its applications and in my opinion it should be taken up before the UNOC 2022, so that some consensus among the stakeholders should be developed before this event for its approval.

INDIA http://nirdpr.org.in/ CAPACITY BUILDING ON CONSERVATION AND SUSTAINABLE USE OF BIODIVERSITY AT THE PANCHAYAT LEVEL Activity or event (e.g., meeting, workshop, webinar, conference, article, website), Larger capacity-building projects or initiatives IPBES assessments, Policy instruments, policy support tools and methodologies, Scenarios and models Uptake and use of approved IPBES assessments The goal of the capacity building on "sustainable use of biodiversity" is to introduce principles and governance tools to different stakeholders of biodiversity conservation at the grassroots level, particularly for those involved in rural development and Panchayati raj systems for better governance and Use of Biodiversity at Panchayat level. The capacity building programme will be imparted as Training of Trainee (ToT) mode to the panchayat level through identified agencies like state rural development institutes (SIRDs) and non-governmental institutions. The programme is designed under the larger perspective laid down by the "Convention of Biodiversity" (CBD), the "Intergovernmental platform for biodiversity and ecosystem services" (IPBES) and the governance approaches adopted in India's Biodiversity Act 2002. As envisioned at intergovernmental levels, the linkages between the 'nature's contribution to the people' (NCP) and 'good quality of life' (GQL) have been taken as a guiding principle to develop capacity building modules for this programme. The classification of different nature's contributions under material, non-material and regulative functions of biodiversity received immense attention in science policy platforms. The ToT will effectively disseminate the knowledge and skill required for improving the governance of biodiversity and ecosystem services at the grassroots level through Panchayat Raj. It will also help to impart the socio-economic and governance dimensions of biodiversity and ecosystem services to 2.6 lakhs panchayats in India .
We may approach the National Biodiversity Authority for their support also.
